I took it to Autozone to have the check engine light code read
I have a 95 LeSabre, I took it to Autozone to have the check engine light code read. It is a series 1 (or l) what do they need to be able to read it? He said he couldn’t get a reading. Also, I have change the radiator(it had a hole), thermostat, and water pump and belt, all recently but the temp.light keeps coming on intermittently. For anywhere from 20 seconds to a minute. What could the problem be?
Answer:
A regular scan tool is required to read codes older than 1996. Most shops have these tools. Also, the Codes can be read without a scan tool How to Read GM Codes without a Scan Tool OBD I
