driving home my car had a screeching noise .i drove it home OK but the next morning i had no reverse.the other gears work OK Plymouth voyager 3.0
Answer:
If you have lost reverse gear only, then you have a mechanical problem inside the transmission. There is nothing external such as a solenoid or control system problem that can cause loss of reverse.   You may have a broken band, a problem with the planetary gear set, or some other internal broken part.   When something like this happens the transmission needs to be completely disassembled and cleaned to get all the metal chips out as part of the repair process.
The cure for this is to either have the transmission removed and disassembled to determine the extent of internal damage and then rebuilt, or to install another transmission (either a factory remanufactured one or a good used one).
Unfortunately, there is nothing cheap or easy that you can do for this particular type of problem…Â

Answer:
Most of the control modules in GM vehicles now come with an Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory that requires programming for correct operation. Modules that may need to be programmed include Powertrain Control Module , Vehicle Control Module , Electronic Control Module, Electronic Brake Control Module, Transfer Case Control Module, Body Control Module Driver’s Door Module, and more. The most common method to program control modules is through the DLC after the module has been installed in the vehicle. Some modules may be programmed by using an off board programming adapter and many parts suppliers now have this equipment. Be sure to verify whether a replacement module needs to be programmed before purchasing. If it does need programming make the necessary arrangements to have it programmed make sure the dealer is using the most upto date reprogramming software for your vehicle

There is a tool to get it accurate but there is also a hash mark on the turning part and on the housing. You line these 2 marks up perfect while in neutral then lock down the 2 8mm bolts.

I drive a 2002 Land Rover Discovery II. I have had the brake lines bled twice and cannot get rid of the spongy pedal associated with air in the brake lines. If the pedal is pumped one time the brakes return to normal. There are no visable signs of a leak. Can air be trapped elsewhere besides the lines going to the calipers? Any suggestions? Already Tried:
Bleeding the brake lines at the calipers.
Answer:
I get alot of complaints about this. Unless there has been some type of hydraulic work done like a caliper replaced there should not be any air in the system. What you described the above in normal unless the brake pedal is going to the floor.
