1998 Saturn SC2 and the radio will not work. It appears to be locked, the screen says ‘LOC’

Published by admin under Uncategorized

I have a 1998 Saturn SC2 and the radio will not work. It appears to be locked, the screen says ‘LOC’ and nothing will turn on

Answer:

the radio is locked, you need to get the unlock code. perform this proceedure.

  • Turn the ignition key to RUN.
  • Turn the radio power OFF.
  • Press and hold preset buttons 2 and 3 together until a 4 digit number appears on the radio display.
  • Record the numberanswer me back with the 4 digit number and i will call GM and try to get the unlock code for you.
  • The unlock code I got from GM is 0850. perform this proceedure.

    1. Press SEEK DOWN, SEEK UP, TUNE DOWN, or TUNE UP. The radio display should show 0000.
    2. PRESS SEEK DOWN to set the first digit.
    3. Press SEEK UP to set the second digit.
    4. Press TUNE DOWN to set the third digit.
    5. Press TUNE UP to set the fourth digit.
    6. If the code was entered correctly, the radio will display SEC (SECURE). The theft deterrent system for the radio is now active and normal operation may be resumed. If the code was entered incorrectly, the radio will display Err for 5 seconds and the LOC (LOCKED) will be displayed again. If LOC is displayed, repeat 1-6.
    7. If the correct code is not entered in 8 attempts, follow the next steps:
7.1. Turn ignition to ACC position.
7.2. Turn radio power switch OFF.
7.3. Wait one hour before repeating steps 1 through 7. If attempts to unlock the system are made before the one hour period is up, the radio will display INOP (INOPERATIVE). Continue to wait. If the ignition is not in the ACC position, power will never reset internally to allow itself to be unlocked.
7.4. After one hour, repeat steps 1-7.

When inputing the first number, just scroll untill 8 is displayed, the zero will not display.

1991 toyota camry no brake at all changed the master cylinder cleared the lines put new pads on is it the brake booster or the calapers?

    Published by admin under Uncategorized

changed the bakes cause they were bad, i couldnt compress the caliper so i took it off and it compressed easily, but i had no brake , so my brother who is a mechancic told me it could be a cloged line, so i took them off and cleaned them out and or changed them still nothing, so then he said try the master cylinder so i changed it bench bleed it aand all, bled the bakes after and still nothing

    Answer:

Usually, when the brakes hold like you had happening, it is the master cylinder. Now, it seems you probably have air in your brake lines, like they weren’t bled all the way. When you change calipers, lines, and master cylinder, you have a lot of work to do to bleed all the air out completely. Does your Camry have anti-lock brakes?

1996 Isuzu Trooper 3.2    I have check engine light on it is misfiring #6 i took it to shop they put it on diagnostic they put a injector for #6 took it around the block and still misfire but now #5 i was charged 638.61 and i have the same problem. i am pissted!!! he says it is the boots from the plug wires. could you please let me know what i should do before i flip on them? Already Tried: they put it on diagnostic #6 was missing the shop i took it to said the #6 fuel injector was bad they put the injector he took around the block it was the same but now #5 was misfiring now he says its the boots for the plug wires i paid 638.61 and it is the same i am pissted the world is so damn crazy!!!

    Answer:

Well I would really be upset because your car don’t have plug wires. You car has ignition coils that are attached to the spark plugs they look like this:

They misdiagnosed your problem. They need to test the ignition coil to see if it’s working. If not they need to replace it ($90 part)

I can be driving and the speed drops off and cannot accelerate

    Published by admin under Uncategorized

I have a Opel Zafira 2 litre Diesel I can be driving and the speed drops off and cannot accelerate the engine management light comes on if I stop switch the engine off and back on it goes out and the vehicle drives OK but this is gradually getting worse

    Answer:

Your problem will most likely be either the crankshaft sensor or camshaft sensor.

When the EML comes on, a fault code will be stored in the ecu and can be easily retrieved with an appropriate code reader. Most local garages have the necessary equipment to access the codes and wont charge you the earth.

aftermarket radio for my 2002 Toyota Corolla, it has a wire which needs to be

    Published by admin under Uncategorized

I purchased an aftermarket radio for my 2002 Toyota Corolla, it has a wire which needs to be connected to the parking brake negative so the DVD can be viewed. Where can I find the parking brake negative to connect?

    Answer:

The best thing to do is to remove the center console and there is a simple one wire switch located on the parking brake handle assembly. This has a one wire connector. The wire is either red w/black stripe if you have daytime running lights, or red w/yellow stripe without daytime running lights. This is the wire you will want to tie into with this wire.

lost the keys to my car. how do i get a new one? 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity

    Published by admin under Uncategorized

you have two options available to you i know because i have done this as well
    1. you can get a lock smith you cut you new keys for your car it costs about 40.00 depending on the lock smith
    2. you can call your gm dealer give them the serial number and they can get you new keys however you will have to take proof of owner ship to them before they will order it for you

if the car is locked a lock smith can open it for you as well
they usually carry a master set of keys
    in a case
i have one of these being that i am a mechanic but now they are only available for certified lock smiths
    if that helps
