2004 grand am gt sometimes when i go to start it
Question:
I have a 2004 grand am gt sometimes when i go to start it it wont start the starter timer is about 2 sec of cranking then stops i need to turn the key to the off position then it will start what could be the problem?
Answer:
In most cases this is caused from a sticking fuel pump relay or a leaky fuel pressure regulator(internal leak) The fuel pressure has not built up enough pressure to allow the injectors to fire in the 2 seconds. If it only happens when it is cold and has 80,000 -100,000 on it, it may just need a set of new spark plugs.
