Question:
I have a 1988 Chevy Corvette, it has been sitting for about a year. When I turn on the ac it works for about 10 minutes then switches to heat. Any ideas?
Answer:
The A/C programmer is going bad. I own a 1989 Corvette and went through the same issue you are having. You can still get one from a dealer, takes a few days to get it. And it is located under the drivers side dash.

Question:
I have a 1992 Cadillac Eldorado I replaced battery and now the dash lights wont come on.Â
Answer:
The dash gets its power from fuse b-5 in the trunk compartment fuse box. Check all the fuses in the trunk. If they check OK make sure you haven’t accidentally turned your dimmer switch to off or low. If all checks ok we need to check power supply to dimmer switch. Then if power is there but not coming out. Replace the switch.

Question: Â have a 1990 Honda accord EX. I bought a complete conversion kit for my A/C, to go from a R12 to 134. Is this OK? Also, when I turn the blower fan on, no air is being blown, nothing. I checked all the fuses under the dash, and under the hood, next to the firewall. It was working fine just a few days ago. What else can I do???? Already Tried:
Checked fuses under dash, and under hood next to firewall. They seem to be fine. The blower was fine, a few days ago. Also how about the kit I got from Checker auto, is that OK. for the conversion and charging????
Answer:
Yes the conversion kit should work on this car with out any problems as long as you flush the system before conversion. The blower fan does not work? Take test light and check for power at the blower motor, if you have power at the motor then it may be bad, then try taping on the motor and see if it tries to do anything.

Question:
1989 Chevrolet Corsica 2.0 L. Already Tried: Changed EGR valve, fuel filter, plugs & wires, dist. cap & rotor. Have automatic transmission. Could it be torque converter control? Answer:
If it is doing all that ,then YES it is the Torque converter lock-up.
If the check engine light is on, Extract the codes as it can be done for free.

We have been seeing many of these that needed the lock cylinder rebuilt The tumblers inside wear and start jamming so as the locksmith we take them to has told us. We have them rebuilt due to better turn around time.

Question:
I have a 1995 Mazda b2300, starter does not activate when key is on. battery is good, touching battery directly to starter will activate it. fuses appear good. clutch switch condition unknown. Already Tried: starter, battery, battery terminals, fuses.
Answer:
Sounds like a bad Starter Relay or solenoid on the starter. Check for battery voltage at the “s” terminal on the solenoid when someone turns and holds the key in the start position. If you have battery voltage hear, the stater solenoid (starter assembly should be replaced) If no voltage, trace back through clutch switch and starter relay.
